After securing a valuable sponsor in the shape of Bartacoin, Australian Grant Trask has decided to remain with Duarte Benavente’s Team Atlantic’s. The colours of Bartacoin is very different from Benavente’s Atlantic colours and F1H2o rules stipulate both boats should be the same colour. Trask is hoping this year will be an improvement on 2017 as he will be driving a boat designed and built by his father’s company.
Italian Francesco Cantando is desperately looking for a replacement for Poland’s Bart Marszalek who has joined Marit Stromoy’s Emirates Racing. Although an obvious choice would be Sweden’s Erik Stark who is still without a team, it’s unlikely Cantando would be happy with a Scandinavian partner as the majority of his partners have been Italian. We think Stark was banking on a move to the Abu Dhabi stable when Carella parted company with the UAE outfit, but Florida’s Shaun Torrente signed up instead leaving former World F2 champion Stark out in the cold.
