I think its fair to say, the 2017 F1 GP of Portico was not the most gripping race we have seen thanks in part to the many breakdowns. Of the fifteen starters only seven finished the race and only two completed the full 50 laps. We will never know what the score would have been had pole setter
Shaun Torrente not retired on lap 10 after leading Chiappe by a country mile. Finland’s Sami Selio filled the runner-up berth ahead of Portugal’s Duarte Benavente. There were to be three Abu Dhabi boats due to start but only Alex Carella made it to the start line and he finished in 4th place ahead of Poland’s Bart Marszalet. Australia’s Grant Trask, Benavente’s team mate filled seventh place while Team Sweden’s Erik Stark retired on the final lap when occupying third place.
